Terms of use

Draft for legal review. These terms will be finalised with a New Zealand lawyer before contributions open.

1. Who we are

Frontier ("we", "us") is a community-funded project to advance asteroid mining and the long-term goal of life on Mars and Titan. The project is run from New Zealand by its founder, Karan Chaudhary, and will be operated by a legal entity named here once it is formed. Contact: support@thefrontier.space.

2. What this site is

This site publishes the mission, the plan, the funding model, the public ledger, the contributor wall, the blog and information about the FRNT token. Using the site means you accept these terms.

3. Not an investment, no advice

Nothing on this site is financial, legal or tax advice. FRNT is a fixed-supply token created to coordinate a community project. It is not a share, a bond, a deposit or a promise of profit. We make no statement about its future value, and it may be worth nothing. Do not take part with money you cannot afford to lose.

4. Contributions

When the contribution page is open, a contribution is a payment in support of the mission. It is final and non-refundable once confirmed on the blockchain. A contribution does not buy ownership, voting rights, a fixed amount of FRNT, or any return. How the contributors' share of FRNT is distributed will be published before any distribution happens. Contributions may be unavailable in some countries; you are responsible for checking that taking part is lawful where you live.

5. Community rewards

Points in the rewards program are a record of work done for the mission. Claims are reviewed by a person and may be rejected without reasons. Points are not money and carry no guaranteed value. Any conversion of points to FRNT is at our discretion, is announced in advance, and may be subject to identity checks and local law.

6. Your content

By submitting a name, message, proof link or translation, you give us permission to publish it on the site and in project material, and you confirm it is yours to give and is not unlawful, abusive or misleading. We may remove anything at our discretion.

7. Blockchain risks

Transactions on Base are irreversible. Sending funds to the wrong address or the wrong network cannot be undone by us. Smart contracts can have defects. Wallets can be compromised. You are responsible for your own keys.

8. No warranty, limited liability

The site and the project are provided "as is". To the extent New Zealand law allows, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, the token, or taking part in the project. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes are announced on the site.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction.
